[In]visible Cities
What I particularly love about Calvino’s masterpiece, the collection of prose poems describing 55 fictitious cities through the narration of Marco Polo, is that it makes you feel like a child, leaving a wide-open space to your imagination. And so, when I asked myself, What does an Invisible City look like? I realized that no absolute answer exists. The only way to answer that question was by taking the pen (and markers) on. From that moment on, the creation started. Right now, 36 samples of visible cities exist but I am hoping to complete the entire series of 55 in the next few years.
