In October 2021 Opsis Architecture, in collaboration with the City of Hillsboro and M&M Marketplace, embarked on a comprehensive, multi-phase community engagement process to understand the needs of the Latino community relative to M&M Marketplace and the Futsal Facility and determine how they could translate into enhancements to both facilities that would benefit the community.

For this project, l supported the design team in creating a multi-phased engagement approach and developed a series of listen-first, interactive engagement workshops with the Steering Committee, M&M Marketplace vendors, and community members. The various recommended enhancements and concept designs for M&M Marketplace and the Futsal Facility are the direct results of this robust engagement process.
